Jim White: Rangers v Celtic friendly is ‘no brainer’ on commercial front
Jim White has insisted that Rangers friendly against Celtic in Australia later this year is a “no brainer” on a commercial front.
The Bears faithful have been outspoken against the idea, with this the first friendly between the two Glasgow clubs ever.
White shared that he was at Ibrox for the 1-0 win over Aberdeen on Saturday, and admitted the fans were not having it.

Speaking live on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan this morning (07 March), the host kickstarted the show by bringing up the friendly.
“This proposed match between Rangers and Celtic in Western Sydney, in Australia, I think it’s in November,” he said.
“Rangers fans, I was at Rangers v Aberdeen on Saturday, and they’re not having it. Commercially, it’s a no brainer, but many of them not having that fixture.”

Shocking.
Sometimes, there are things much bigger than the commercial aspect of a football club, and this is one of those occasions.
If figures are to be believed, the Bears will take home around £3million, and that isn’t exactly a groundbreaking figure.
White must have been told something more than that figure to justify this being a no brainer, otherwise, it doesn’t make much sense at all.
This tournament is being flogged as the return of Ange Postecoglou to Australia, with nothing about the Bears being used in ways of promotion.
It is embarrassing already, and the reaction of us fans has to go some way to prove that, or the board are simply just deaf.
Given that everything has been announced now, we don’t expect anything to change and this will be going ahead at the end of the year.
The one bright light we can hope for is that we lift the Scottish Premiership this season, and then embarrass our near rivals on their homecoming tour.
