Andy Little raves about Rangers forward Kemar Roofe
Andy Little has praised Kemar Roofe after he scored for Rangers in the 1-0 win over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday (5 March).
The visitors made life difficult for the Gers throughout the game, and the home side really struggled to make clear-cut chances.
In the end, the home side found that extra bit of quality and Roofe netted from close range to seal all three points.

Little suggested that heard boos from the fans in the stadium. Rangers have dropped points at home this season, and it felt like it could be another frustrating game for the club.
However, Giovanni van Bronckhorst brought Roofe as a substitute for Alfredo Morelos and he was vindicated.
Little said, as quoted by Scottish Daily Express: “I was at the game and I heard the boos – but it was justice for the manager as it proved to be the right decision as Kemar Roofe scored the goal.
“I call him Mr Reliable and he came up with the goal but maybe the fans wanted to see both Alfredo Morelos and him on the pitch.
“It was a brave decision but the manager – and he made four substitutions when he was getting criticism for not making enough.
“It’s a critical part of the season and you need brave characters. Kemar Roofe is certainly a calm player and he always scores goals.”
Conundrum
Roofe has struggled with injuries this season, and he has managed only 19 minutes of action in the last six games.
However, he has got an incredible scoring record, managing 12 goals in 27 matches this season.
He finds himself in a curious situation, and it’s a big conundrum.

Morelos remains the first-choice striker and Roofe usually gets the chance when the Colombian is absent.
His injury records are also a major factor as to why he doesn’t get more games at the club.
But, there are fundamental issues. Roofe is a versatile forward who can play a number of roles. He can play as a striker, a no 10 or can be used in the wings.
In the present scenario, Rangers have got specialised players in those positions, and Van Bronckhorst can’t drop them to fit in Roofe.
However, he is still an important player and could play a massive role this season.
