Scott Arfield in awe of Ibrox display ahead of Rangers v Aberdeen
Scott Arfield has suggested that Rangers players were amazed to see the event at Ibrox as they celebrated their 150th anniversary.
The Gers players arrived at the stadium early to face Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday (5 March), which they won 1-0.
The fans unveiled a spectacular display at Ibrox where they turned the stadium red, white and blue with coloured ponchos.

Before the kick-off, a number of banners were lofted, and it included highlights from the 150-year history of the club.
Each section in Ibrox was transformed into lines of red, white and blue around the pitch, and Arfield has hailed it as a “phenomenal” spectacle.
Anfield said, as quoted by The Scottish Sun: “We were here at midday and it was starting to get busy then, the fan zone was filling up.
“The players quickly realised what an amazing event this was going to be for everyone.
“The display before the game was phenomenal to see too.”
Big win
It wasn’t a good performance, but what’s important is that they managed to pick up all three points.
The first half was really poor with the visitors making it difficult for the Gers to dominate the game.
However, there was a big improvement in the second half, but Rangers still struggled to create clear-cut openings.

They were very disjointed in their attacks. Just when it seemed the home side would be left frustrated with yet another disappointing result, they found one moment of brilliance to secure all three points.
Kemar Roofe scored from close range in the 81st minute to keep the title hopes alive.
The focus now shifts back to the European games where the Gers will take on Red Star Belgrade on Thursday at Ibrox in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16.
In other Rangers news, van Bronckhorst has shared what he told his players at half-time during the 1-0 win against Aberdeen yesterday.
