Rangers should be worried of Red Star after 5-0 league demolition
Rangers will now be well underway with their preparation for Thursday’s Europa League round of 16 tie against Red Star Belgrade.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side will still be on a high from knocking out the well-fancied Borussia Dortmund in the previous round when they welcome the Serbian champions to Ibrox.
There is, however, reason for concern for the Dutchman and it doesn’t come from within his own squad.

Crvena Zvezda played their league game on Sunday, a day later than the Light Blues beat Aberdeen 1-0 in Glasgow but the Serbians still sent quite the message to their continental opponents.
Aleksandar Katai scored a hat-trick in Red Star’s 5-0 demolition of Novi Pazar in the Serbian Super Liga as they set about preparing for Thursday’s clash in the best possible manner.
Manager Dejan Stankovic was even able to bring his star men off to allow them a moment’s rest with an eye already turned towards this week’s game.
Rangers have to be really careful on Thursday to avoid an embarrassing defeat much like they inflicted on Dortmund two weeks ago.

The Gers are in danger of complacency which is ultimately what cost the German side in the previous round and the last thing the club needs is to be unceremoniously dumped out of Europe to a team they should be capable of beating.
Red Star may have topped their own Europa League group but if Rangers can beat Dortmund so comfortably, then these should be no trouble but that is only if they approach it like they did the previous round.
Their own league form isn’t tremendous so any positive result is required to get their season back on track.
In other Rangers news, a former Ger has opened up about his £100,000 exit from Ibrox that left him in tears.
