Rangers confirmed starting XI for Scottish Premiership clash v Aberdeen
Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for the Scottish Premiership clash against Aberdeen this afternoon (March 5) at Ibrox.
The Gers will be looking to maintain the pressure on league leaders Celtic who sit just three points above them.
Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, Giovanni van Bronckhorst decided to drop John Lundstram and back Ryan Jack as he returns from injury.
Must win
As well-known by now, Rangers simply can’t afford to drop any more points in this title race.
Both Glasgow clubs’ form has faltered in recent weeks, but the Gers have to overturn a three-point deficit which leaves no room for error.
Van Bronckhorst will be boosted by the return of Bears trio Ryan Jack, Aaron Ramsey and Filip Helanderwhich could result in the Dutchman exercising some much-need squad rotation.

He has come under heavy scrutiny in recent weeks for his lack of change in personnel and with a huge Europa League game on Thursday (March 10), the boss should use this perfect opportunity to rest a few players.
Take nothing away from Aberdeen though who look to be safe from relegation but will want to give themselves that extra bit of breathing space from the drop zone.
The Gers players need to remain focussed on the task at hand before they even think about welcoming Red Star Belgrade in the week. They will undoubtedly have one eye on both trophies but they need to treat every game with the respect it deserves.
In other Rangers news, the Bears have been sent a Red Star Belgrade warning by Graeme Souness.
