Rangers offer two-year deal to Schalke goalkeeper Martin Fraisl
Rangers have reportedly offered two-year deal to Schalke goalkeeper Martin Fraisl with the option of an additional year.
According to German media outlet Spox, the SPFL champions are looking to sign the 28-year-old to replace Allan McGregor, whose contract is expiring at the end of the season.
Much like the Gers number one, Fraisl is also set to become a free agent in June, which means that they can sign a pre-contract agreement with the Austrian before the season even ends.

Sign him?
The Austrian has been angling for a move for a while and the Ibrox can be an ideal landing spot for him.
He would certainly prove to be an upgrade on McGregor whose performances have declined of late.
At 40, the Gers number one clearly has his best days behind him and needs to be replaced sooner rather than later.
Fraisl is 12 years his junior and could be at the club for the next decade if he hits the ground running and is deemed a perfect fit for the Scottish Premiership.

Schalke’s sporting director Rouven Schroder is understood to be a huge fan of the Austrian goalkeeper.
Discussing his future, he said, via the Daily Record, “With specific regards to Martin Fraisl – he’s doing an excellent job.
“We’re monitoring his situation closely, but our focus is currently on day-to-day business and therefore, there will not be any concrete contract talks with him in the near future.”
This opens the door for Gers to swoop in and make a move for the keeper before others enter the race.
