Aaron Ramsey faces uncertain future after Rangers loan spell
Rangers signed Aaron Ramsey on loan from Juventus in the January window but he has hardly made an impact.
The Welsh midfielder has struggled with fitness at Ibrox. According to reports from The Daily Record, he will be missing in Wednesday’s fixture against St Johnstone and looks likely to miss Saturday’s fixture against Aberdeen.
There is no assurance when he can return. Italian media outlet Calciomercato claim that the Gers will send him back to Italy at the end of the season, suggesting they are unlikely to make any attempt to sign him permanently.

Ramsey has one year remaining on his Juventus contract and he is one of the high earners at the club.
Juventus attempted to rip up Ramsey’s contract in January before he moved to Rangers on loan, but he has been very disappointing so far.
Time running out
Ramsey is running out of time at Rangers to make a fruitful impact.
He will have at max 8-9 league games to show his worth. Plus, there are European games and domestic cup games.
He managed only a four-minute cameo in the first leg against Dortmund and didn’t feature in the return fixture. Gio van Bronckhorst doesn’t know when he can return.

Ramsey is a world-class midfielder and there is hope that he can still get himself fit and play a crucial role towards the end of the season.
Rangers face Celtic next month and they have to win that game to claw back into the race. His signing was always going to be a big gamble, and so far, 30 days since his joining, he hasn’t hit the heights at Ibrox.
His long-term signing involves financial risk, and it seems the Gers may have taken a transfer decision on him already.
In other Rangers news, a BBC man made a joke about the announcement encapsulating exactly the problem.
