Scott Arfield axed after van Bronckhorst update – Rangers predicted XI v St Johnstone
Giovanni van Bronckhorst is predicted to make one change to Rangers’ starting line-up ahead of their trip to St Johnstone on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday [1 March], van Bronckhorst confirmed that he’ll be without Aaron Ramsey, Steven Davis, Amad Diallo, Ryan Jack and Filip Helander for his side’s Scottish Premiership showdown at McDiarmid Park.
It means that everyone who started the 2-2 draw with Motherwell on Sunday can start again. However, after such a disappointing result, we expect van Bronckhorst to make a minor change.

After a rather poor display against the Steelmen, Scott Arfield could be axed from the midfield.
Borna Barisic may replace Arfield in the starting line-up, allowing Calvin Bassey to move to centre-back and John Lundstram to move to the midfield.
Lundstram’s form in the midfield has been good under van Bronckhorst while Arfield has been struggling so it makes sense for the Gers boss to make this change amid his newly-confirmed injury woes.

Allan McGregor had a shocker against Motherwell on Sunday but is predicted to retain his starting spot in goals at McDiarmid Park this week.
He could start behind a back-four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Bassey and Barisic.
Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo and Lundstram could be chosen to make up van Bronckhorst’s midfield with Arfield suffering the axe.
In the attack, it could be the same as the one that started on Sunday with Fashion Sakala on the right after his stunning goal, Ryan Kent on the left and Alfredo Morelos up front.
