‘No doubt about it’ – Barry Ferguson sets Rangers target to win Scottish Premiership
Former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson says the club must win all ten of their remaining Scottish Premiership games to become champions this season.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side have seen a six point lead at the top of the table slip following a run of just three wins in eight games since the turn of the year and now trail Celtic by three points.
But with the club still competing in the Europa League at the last 16 stage, they face a disadvantage domestically with Celtic having their full attention on the title race. Because of that, Ferguson told GoRadio what they need to do to be successful.

“There’s ten games left, you’ve got to get 30 points,” he said. “No doubt about it.
“Look at the games he mentioned. Aberdeen, Ross County, Dundee United, take Celtic into the equation – 3-0 they got beat – and then you look at it again on Sunday.
“It’s disappointing and frustrating. But they’ve got another game on Wednesday night at McDiarmid Park, St Johnstone are fighting for their lives.
“This is one of these games that I don’t care how you play, you roll your sleeves up and make sure you come in after 90 minutes with the three points.”

Challenge set
Rangers have let themselves down so far in the second half of this season with just three wins from eight games and they’re now chasing Celtic down.
But with the romantic giant killing of Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League, there is a looming distraction of potential European success hanging in the background too.
Most fans would likely prefer to get one over their Old Firm rivals and win a second consecutive Scottish Premiership title if given the choice, but the cup run is hard to ignore.
The Thursday-Sunday schedule hasn’t been good to them so far, with draws coming after both games against Dortmund in recent weeks and with Celtic now out of Europe they don’t have that distraction.
Winning ten out of ten isn’t the most unrealistic of challenges in Scotland, and would also give them a win over Celtic in April, but on current form it’s unlikely.
