Heart and Hand: No interest in Rangers v Celtic friendly
Heart and Hand claim that the announcement of Rangers and Celtic playing in a friendly tournament is greenwashing the news.
The official Rangers media partner has slammed the fact that a ‘friendly’ is being played against their arch rivals.
David Edgar, who is responsible for the Twitter handle believes that Celtic are deflecting attention from their upcoming court cases.
Via his official Twitter handle, he wrote, “I have no interest at all in a friendly against a side who claim we don’t exist and won’t even use our name, particularly when it’s announced to greenwash the news today about their upcoming court cases going ahead.”
Pointless
Playing a friendly in Australia during the World Cup period is a pointless affair.
There never are any friendlies played between the two sets of teams and both clubs are well aware of the fact.
What Edgar is saying may hold some truth and the reasons behind at are still unknown.

The news broke earlier today and suddenly it has become official although there’s no official word from the club yet.
However, it seems like it is going to happen and this will be a historic moment for Australia.
They will be the first country to host an Old Firm clash abroad and are expected to see fans flying in from all over the world.
Both teams are expected to have weakened squads as players set to feature in the World Cup will be unavailable.
