Aaron Ramsey among five senior players ruled out: Early Rangers team news v St Johnstone

Rangers are without five senior players to play against St Johnstone at McDiarmind Park on Tuesday, Giovanni van Bronckhorst has confirmed

Speaking to the media on 1 March, van Bronckhorst confirmed that Aaron Ramsey, Steven Davis, Amad Diallo, Ryan Jack and Filip Helander have all been ruled out.

As quoted on Rangers’ official Twitter account, van Bronckhorst said the five players “are not available for tomorrow”.

Must-win

From the highs of a 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund to the lows of a 2-2 draw with Motherwell.

It’s been a turbulent few weeks at Ibrox with our Scottish Premiership form all over the place since the return to action since the winter break.

We’ve seen our lead at the top of the table reduced to the point where we’re now four points behind Celtic and blowing two-goal leads at home against mid-table Motherwell.

It simply wasn’t good enough in that game and we cannot just have our players turn up for big away days in Europe, only to crumble in front of the Ibrox crowd in what should be simple wins.

St Johnstone have been very poor this season but we wouldn’t put it past van Bronckhorst’s Bears messing this one up too.

We’ve been below par for weeks in the Premiership and van Bronckhorst needs to put a stop to it as soon as possible.

He may make several changes for the trip to McDiarmid Park due to how much football has been played lately.

However, he cannot go too far with that because that’ll cause disruption and could cause even more problems for the Dutchman to contend with.
