Jorg Albertz says Rangers duo should be on radar of big clubs
Former Rangers player Jorg Albertz has suggested that Gers duo – James Tavernier and Ryan Kent – should be on the list of many clubs.
Tavernier has been outstanding for the Gers in recent years with his leadership, goals, and assists, but he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves outside Scotland.
Albertz also feels that Kent is another player who should be on the radar of big clubs after the duo impressed heavily this season.

After beating Borussia Dortmund, Rangers have moved into the round of 16 knock-out stages, where they will face Red Star Belgrade.
Albertz predicts that while it will be a tough game for the Bears, they do have a great opportunity to move the quarter-finals of this competition.
“Like I said about Gio, there will always be people who doubt Tavernier. That’s just the way it is at Rangers,” said Albertz, as quoted by The Daily Record.
“I don’t know but he should be on the list of many clubs when they’re looking for a right-back. His goals and assists record speaks for itself.
“Kent is the same, he should be on the radar of big clubs. Maybe they don’t watch Scottish football or expect more because they’re playing against the likes of Motherwell or Livingston.
“Rangers have Red Star Belgrade in the next round and it’s possible to progress again. But there were no easy ties, only top teams were left.
“Belgrade will have an electric atmosphere too. But Rangers have a real chance of reaching the last eight.”
Outstanding
Tavernier has been simply magnificent for the club. He has scored six goals in the Scottish Premiership this season and provided a further 12 assists.
Last season, he managed 11 goals and 10 assists in the league, which shows what an important player he is for the club.

The same goes for Ryan Kent. Since joining the club permanently from Liverpool, Kent has taken his game to a whole new level.
Rangers would love to hold on to their star players for a long time, and Van Bronckhorst won’t mind if they don’t get the limelight they deserve.
The knock-out rounds will be tough, but Rangers do have a big squad, and they should be able to cope with the demands of both domestic and European commitments.
In other Rangers news, there was one unfortunate Light Blue who did not come out of Thursday night a winner.
