Rangers starlet Tyler Pasnik celebrates Old Firm hat-trick on Twitter

Rangers Under-18s won their own Old Firm derby against Celtic yesterday thanks to a remarkable hat-trick from striker Tyler Pasnik.

The 17-year-old has almost become a Light Blues cult hero overnight after his match-winning performance for the academy as he begins to fulfil some of the potential the club see in him.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst could have done with someone as prolific as him went the senior team took on Celtic earlier in February but he could be key in the future.

His best night in a Rangers shirt came exactly one year after he signed his first professional deal with the Ibrox club.

He posted a celebratory picture on his personal Twitter account after the game and Light Blues fans were lapping it up in all it’s glory.

The Future

It is still early days in his career but Pasnik is doing all the right things to endear himself to the Gers supporters.

As if a hat-trick in the Old Firm wasn’t good enough, his social media post after the game put him on an even higher pedestal.

If he keeps up this level of performance, he will quickly be promoted to the B team where he can really put himself on the radar of van Bronckhorst and his coaching team.

We have already seen Alex Lowry and Leon King be bumped up to the first team this season and there is no reason why, if Pasnik maintains these high standards, he can’t be next.

With Alfredo Morelos’ future at Ibrox still uncertain, van Bronckhrost may be searching for a striker to replace the Colombian very soon.

So how good would it be if he didn’t have to spend a penny to do so, but promote Pasnik into the senior team and see if he can handle the pressure?

In other Rangers news, van Bronkhorst’s side mustn’t get complacent ahead of their Europa League round of 16 tie against Red Star Belgrade.
