Ally McCoist destroys Alfredo Morelos in Rangers clash v Borussia Dortmund

Ally McCoist has emptied both barrels on Rangers star Alfredo Morelos during the Europa League clash with Borussia Dortmund.

The Colombian had chances at Ibrox to score, but it was his workrate at times that frustrated the legend.

Replays saw Morelos failing to get back onside numerous times when the defence was isolated, and McCoist took aim at his laziness.

Speaking live on BT Sport during the second half, McCoist was far from impressed with what he saw from the Bufalo.

“Lazy from Morelos,” he said.

“He’s got to get out quicker and get back onside, look at him, that’s not good enough – laziness.”

Lazy?

This was one moment.

Morelos was superb at points tonight, and McCoist made sure to clear up his comments after each positive contribution.

It was getting twitchy at the point where the incident happened, and James Taverniers’ second made sure to calm all of the nerves.

Morelos was brilliant on the ball, and he was bound to be tired in a game where he never stopped chasing the German giants at the back.

The Colombian didn’t get his goal, but he played a big role in second isolating and putting Mats Hummels in four different minds.

Morelos is desperate for goals, but his performances recently have been so much more than that with his attitude impeccable.

He is allowed moments of rest, and although he was called out for this one, we’re sure McCoist forgot about it soon after.
