View: Borna Barisic and Glen Kamara stuck on bench – Best possible Rangers starting XI v Borussia Dortmund

Rangers welcome Borussia Dortmund to Ibrox this evening in what promises to be a huge showdown in the second leg of their Europa League knockout tie.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst masterminded a 4-2 win in Germany last week, and knocking out the Germans could be the biggest result in our history.

The Bears have numerous confirmed issues to contend with, though, with Aaron Ramsey one of the big names currently injured.

Rangers

Allan McGregor always starts in our best possible XI, with the Scotsman hitting his 20th year at the club.

James Tavernier and Connor Goldson will continue in the back four, but Leon Balogun comes in with the Nigerian perfect to deal with the pace thrown at him.

Calvin Bassey has overtaken Borna Barisic this season, and the Croatian would be stuck on the bench if everyone is available, as they are at this stage.

Ryan Jack was the best player on the park in Germany, and he will be straight back into that holding role tonight.

Rangers

John Lundstram provides that steel after pushing himself into our best XI, and alongside Jack, he will be brilliant in keeping them out.

Joe Aribo will stay in midfield, as he can burst into the final third when needed, but he won’t need to press the defence as that isn’t his strength.

That leaves Glen Kamara and the likes of Steven Davis on the bench ready to come on if needed at Ibrox this evening.

Ryan Kent will be critical on the left-hand side, and he will be looking to embarrass the likes of Manuel Akanji yet again with the Ibrox faithful roaring him on.

Scott Arfield will be on the right in an inverted role, with the Canadian offering more defensive work in the final third than those around him.

That leaves Alfredo Morelos to finish off our best XI for this evening, with the Colombian putting away just one chance potentially all we need to get through – bring it on.

Here is our best XI available to Van Bronckhorst this evening…
