Stefan Klos makes strong prediction ahead of Rangers v Borussia Dortmund

Former Rangers goalkeeper Stefan Klos has suggested that it will be difficult for Borussia Dortmund to survive at Ibrox.

The German goalkeeper, who also won the Champions League with Dortmund as a player, has suggested that if Rangers can replicate the form of the first leg, Dortmund will have no chance of beating them.

The Bears were outstanding in the first leg in Germany, securing a 4-2 victory. Klos feels the Gers deserve big credit for their brilliant performance.

Rangers

“Anything could happen (in the second leg), BVB are capable of winning 4-0 and losing 4-0,” said Klos to Sport 1.

“They need to be as brave as Rangers were in Dortmund, but in any case it’ll be difficult to survive at Ibrox.

“It’s possible to go through, but if Rangers perform like they did in Dortmund then it’s goodnight BVB.”

Big night

This is a huge game for the Gers and they must finish off the task.

After earning a heroic victory away from home in arguably one of the best European performances by them in recent memory, it will be a massive heart-break for the club if they lose from here.

The home side, definitely are holding the aces here, and they will be boosted by the news that Erling Haaland is set to miss the tie.

It remains to be seen how Giovanni van Bronckhorst shapes his team up, but the Gers need to be solid at the back.

Rangers

Dortmund have enough quality players who can hurt them, and a two-goal cushion will take the game to extra time, while a three-goal margin could end Rangers’ dream run.

It will be very important to stick to their plans, stay organised at the back and look for scoring opportunities.

If Rangers can score one or two goals, it will become extremely difficult for Dortmund to stage a dramatic comeback.

In other Rangers news, the club could be set for a seven-figure windfall if they can hold off Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday.
