Dariusz Adamczuk delivers verdict on Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst
Dariusz Adamczuk has showered heaps of praise on Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst, saying he always expected him to become a manager.
The former Gers player, who was also the teammate of Van Bronckhorst, has hailed the Dutchman as “super-intelligent”.
He feels that Rangers did an incredible job in getting a 4-2 win against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Europa League qualifier.
Adamczuk said, as quoted by The Scottish Sun: “Steven Gerrard did a remarkable job and now Giovanni is carrying on the great work.
“The result last week was something out of the ordinary. I watched the highlights and the goals and it was incredible against a really good European team.
“I always expected Giovanni to become a manager because he is a clever guy. He was always pretty quiet in the dressing room but he was extremely thoughtful about the game.
“He was a super-intelligent player and you can see those same qualities as a coach.”
Boss
Steven Gerrard did an incredible job helping the club secure the Scottish Premiership title from Celtic’s clutches.
After he left the club to join Aston Villa this season, the transition has been very smooth.
Van Bronckhorst has made a brilliant start at Ibrox and it won’t be an exaggeration to say that he has stamped his own authority on the side.
However, this is a huge challenge for him.
He suffered a heavy defeat against Celtic while the club’s recent form away from home hasn’t been great either.
The Gers failed to win in their last three away games and they have squandered the lead at the top of the table as well.
There is nothing to panic about. There are a lot of games left to play, including two Old Firm Derbies, and Rangers will get their chance to overtake the Bhoys.
In other Rangers news, the club could be set for a seven-figure windfall if they can hold off Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday.
