Rangers ace needs to ‘get up to speed’ with Scottish football – Barry Ferguson
Things haven’t quite gone to plan for Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo since he joined Rangers in January from Old Trafford.
The Ivorian scored within five minutes of his debut in the 3-3 draw away at Ross County but he has struggled since then, being a substitute for most of his games so far.
Just one assist in the Scottish Cup against Annan Athletic to his name since his debut isn’t quite what Giovanni van Bronckhorst ordered when he signed him in January.

Rangers legend Barry Ferguson still believes in the teenager but says he needs to get up to speed with Scottish football much quicker than he is doing.
“In terms of Diallo, I just think he struggled with the pace of the game,” he said on the Go Radio Football Show.
“You can see the boy has got ability, there is no doubt about it, but you need to get up to speed quickly when you go to a club like Rangers.”
Arrogance?
He may only be 19 years of age but maybe Diallo is suffering from believing he is already the finished product that is too good for the Light Blues.

But everything we have seen so far in a Rangers shirt suggests he is far from that and he needs to get that ingrained into his head.
He may have been bought for £40million by Manchester United but he still has a very long way to go to live up to the potential and the price tag.
He looks like he doesn’t want to be on the pitch on the rare occasions he gets a chance and it’s no surprise that van Bronckhorst has chosen to eave him out of the starting XI in recent weeks.
It is a problem that happens more than we would imagine with teenagers who have been hyped up to be the next big thing but without someone around to keep them grounded, there is no hope for them.
van Bronckhorst needs to grab Diallo by the scruff of the neck and let him know in no uncertain terms that he needs to do more, that might be the rocket up the backside he needs.
In other Rangers news, the club could be set for a seven-figure windfall if they can hold off Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday.
