Super Computer shares chances of Rangers reaching Europa League round of 16 after crushing Dortmund win

Rangers stand a 77% chance of reaching the Europa League Round of 16 after smashing Borussia Dortmund in the first leg in Germany.

That’s according to Super Computer, Five Thirty Eight, who have updated their predictions after the 4-2 win away from home.

The Bears welcome Dortmund back to Ibrox next week for the second leg with a two-goal advantage, although away goals no longer unfortunately count.

Interesting, there is a high chance of progressing to the next round too.

That is where things really get interesting, though, with the group winners coming into play in the Europa League.

Rangers knocking Dortmund out of the competition would be huge for Scotland, but more importantly, the club.

There are financial rewards with each round you get past, and Ibrox is sure to be rocking on Thursday evening with the chance of more European nights this season.

Written off.

This would be perfect.

The number of people who were writing off Rangers when this draw was made was incredible, and their reactions would have been priceless.

If we are as fearless as we were in Germany and get an early goal, we are in a brilliant position to progress, and the crowd will be vital to that.

The Germans turned quickly on their side as Rangers ran riot, and there is no chance of that happening from our side.

It will be the complete opposite, and although it will still be a clash that is as tough as possible given their squad.

A response will come, and it is up to Giovanni van Bronckhorst to outclass Marco Rose once again, this time at Ibrox.
