BBC journalist Tom English stunned by Rangers in massive win v Borussia Dortmund
Tom English was left stunned by Rangers as they ran riot in the Europa League against Borussia Dortmund on Thursday evening.
An own goal and strikes from Alfredo Morelos, James Tavernier and John Lundstram sealed a famous night in Germany for the Bears.
BBC journalist English doesn’t have many fans at Ibrox, but he couldn’t hide how thrilled he was left by the result for Scottish football.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on two separate occasions, English reacted to major events at Signal Iduna Park.
At half-time, he wrote: “Rangers 2-0 ahead at half-time in Dortmund. Incredible stuff.”
English went on to continue his love-in for Rangers, as they couldn’t be stopped by those famous yellow shirts.
“This is thumpingly impressive from Rangers,” he continued. “Staying on the front foot, playing with the same intensity as they did at 0-0. Absolutely brilliant stuff.”
Incredible, indeed.
English taking time to praise Rangers is something that won’t have been easy for him to do given his past with the club.
The BBC journalist is usually the first to open his mouth over something negative when it comes out of the club at Ibrox.
But, there was nothing bad to say last night as the Bears were simply irresistable in Germany, with one of Europe’s best unable to cope.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst nailed his tactics, and it was highlighted by the continued onslaught throughout the evening.
We know there is a job still to do next week, but just imagine how huge it would be if Rangers could knock Borussia Dortmund out of the Europa League – incredible.
