Ally McCoist stunned despite missing live BT coverage of Rangers win v Borussia Dortmund
Ally McCoist has shared that he still went wild for Rangers win against Borussia Dortmund despite missing live coverage.
Alex Rae was noticeably on co-commentary for BT Sports, with McCoist celebrating a birthday within his family.
McCoist didn’t let that get in the way, though, as he admitted that it made his day even better – something he didn’t know could happen beforehand.

Speaking live on BT Sports’ Scottish Football Extra this evening, McCoist kicked off the show in brilliant fashion.
“It’s funny you should say that Darrell,” he said.
“I’ve got to be quite frank with you, it was the wee man’s birthday, a big birthday for him, but a wonderful day. We thought to ourselves, this can’t get any better, surely this day can’t get any better, and do you know what it did? It got better.
“Do you know how it got better? It got better with one of the best European performances from any Scotland in the last 25 years.”

Missed.
Wow, can you imagine how McCoist will have reacted?
Those scenes would have been incredible, and we can’t wait to get him back on commentary duty in the return leg at Ibrox next week.
With four goals on the board, confidence will be sky high in the Bears camp despite how big Dortmund are – that will count for nothing.
Jude Bellingham has already said “bring it on” and he will need his teammates to improve dramatically if they want to turn it around.
Rangers are in the driving seat, and if they get an early goal next week, we can’t wait to hear McCoist lose everything live on BT Sports.
