Rangers is ‘the right environment’ for Aaron Ramsey – Alessandro Del Piero
Aaron Ramsey’s transfer deadline day move to Rangers raised more than a few eyebrows across the football landscape but he is settling in well at Ibrox.
The 31-year-old joined on loan from Juventus until the end of the season with the hope of relaunching his career after falling out of favour in Turin.
Juve legend Alessandro Del Piero believes Glasgow is the right place for him to do just that as he backs the Welsh international to succeed in Scotland.

“It is not easy but it is important to play, to find rhythm and continuity,” the Italian told Daily Record.
“At Rangers, he will find the right environment, and the right league, to relaunch his career. In Turin, this was no longer possible.
“Aaron Ramsey is an experienced and intelligent player, very flexible from a tactical point of view because he can do almost everything: midfielder, attacking midfielder, attacking winger. He can manage ball possession well and is excellent with assists. He is technically a superb player.
“He has only himself to fear or the injuries that unfortunately tormented his time at Juventus.”
Special player in waiting
It’s still too early to have seen the best of what Ramsey can offer Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Rangers but you can’t see why it can go badly.

If there’s a big competition in the world, Ramsey has starred in it and he should do so again in the Scottish Premiership.
He might see his future away from Ibrox after this season but that won’t stop him from leaving a lasting impact on the Ibrox faithful if he can help overturn the deficit to Celtic and claim back-to-back titles.
A potential league and cup double is a real possibility too and there is even faint hope of a treble if the Light Blues can shock the world and go all the way in the Europa League.
That might be somewhat of a stretch but with a gamechanger like Ramsey in the team, anything is possible.
He is capable of that moment of magic that wins games on its own and that is something that has been lacking from Gers teams of the past.
In other Rangers news, an MLS club’s sporting director, who has ties to van Bronckhorst and Rangers, wants the Glasgow side to play a friendly in the United States.
