Ibrox View: Rangers player ratings v Borussia Dortmund
Rangers have just sealed yet another historic win in their huge history on Thursday evening in the Europa League against Borussia Dortmund.
The Bears absolutely destroyed the German giants in their own stadium, leaving the first-leg with a huge 4-2 win.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will have been delighted with the efforts of his side, who looked frightening going forward.

Ibrox News rated the players out of 10 below…
Allan McGregor – 6
Little to do all evening, the keeper will have been fuming that he wasn’t able to keep a clean sheet on the road in Germany.
James Tavernier – 7
The skipper came up big when called upon from the spot, smashing home the opening goal as the jeers rang around the ground. His all-around play was solid in each third of the pitch.
Connor Goldson – 4
The centre-back had issues from set-pieces and couldn’t get to grips with Dan-Axel Zagadou at times. It was his partner who was called upon more with his pace when defending.

Calvin Bassey – 7
Another huge tick in the box of Bassey, who is quickly becoming more of a central player than a left-back when called upon in that area.
Borna Barisic – 8
Who’d have thought this after his shocker at Celtic? Barisic stepped up massively in Germany and should have taken a goal home himself.
Ryan Jack – 10
Wow – the perfect performance. Rangers are ten times the side with Jack at the heart of their midfield, and he bossed everything on the park this evening, keep this man fit and anything is possible.

John Lundstram – 9
This is the Premier League signing we all expected when he first arrived in the summer, he is shining right now and got the goal his performances have granted in recent weeks.
Scott Arfield – 6
A quiet evening for Arfield who put himself around in midfield. The rating may seem low but it is mainly down to those around him who shined much brighter.
Joe Aribo – 7
The Nigerian picked up an assist from the corner for Morelos’ goal, and was a constant thorn in the side of Dortmund.

Ryan Kent – 9
This is just what we come to expect of Kent on the big stage now. The winger is simply irresistable in this form, and his constant embarrassment of Manuel Akanji led to the Swiss defender being dragged off.
Alfredo Morelos – 9
The Bufalo is a menace, and must be nothing short of horrifying to play against in this mood. We have rarely seen a player want to score as much as him, and he never gives anyone the chance to breathe, what a man.
