Alex Rae: Borussia Dortmund fans left in disbelief during Rangers clash in Europa League

Alex Rae has shared that Borussia Dortmund fans were left in “disbelief” as Rangers ran riot in their 4-2 win this evening.

The Bears sealed a huge win in Germany which will go down as one of their biggest in European history for the club.

The German fans were left stunned after John Lundstram made it three at the start of the second half, with another to come soon after.

Speaking during live commentary of the clash on BT Sports, Rae shared what he saw from the home end in Germany.

“Looking around at the Dortmund fans, total disbelief,” he said.

“They were the ones who made the changes at half-time, but it was Rangers who go into a 3-0 lead.”

Wow.

This will go down as one of our biggest ever results, and may even trump that 3-0 win at Lyon in the Champions League all those years ago.

This is one for the ages, and those 500 travelling fans will be telling stories about this one for many, many years to come upon their return.

Dortmund fans will have been expected nothing short of a commanding win given they dropped down from the Champions League.

You could see that wasn’t going to happen after a few minutes though, with Rangers tactically set up perfectly in all areas.

If it wasn’t for two brilliant finishes from distance, it could have been much worst for their fans – some were even pictured leaving early.
