Stefan Klos: Rangers ‘don’t stand a chance’ in Borussia Dortmund clash
Rangers have been written off in their chances of springing a surprise in the Europa League against Borussia Dortmund by former keeper Stefan Klos.
The German goalkeeper is a member of the Ibrox Hall of Fame after winning four Scottish League titles during a eight and a half years at the club, but also won the Champions League and two Bundesligas in a similar stay at BVB.
The 50-year-old’s split loyalties have prevented him from going with his heart and left him to go with his head, and he believes if the German giants perform to their ability they will advance with ease.

Speaking to Sport Bild, quoted by Sport Witness, Klos said: “As a native of Dortmund, black and yellow blood naturally still flows through my veins. But the Rangers have also grown on me. The better one should just win.
“Borussia have the stronger individual players. The decisive factor, however, is whether they also bring this quality to the field. [Unless] it doesn’t happen like with St. Pauli – as it did recently – Rangers don’t stand a chance.”
Underdogs
Giovanni van Bronckhorst knows his side will not go into the tie as the favourites, but he should be confident that they can cause problems and possibly cause a shock.
Erling Braut Haaland, possibly the number one transfer target in world football currently, is missing for the first leg, while Gers star front man Alfredo Morelos is in excellent form.
Since losing top spot in the Scottish Premiership to Celtic the Light Blues look back to their best in seeing off both sides of Edinburgh, before easily advancing in the cup with a much-changed side.

As Klos mentioned, Dortmund were dumped out of the DFB Pokal by lower-league opposition when they lost 2-1 to St. Pauli.
And they are only 10 days removed from shipping five at home in a 5-2 league defeat to Bayer Leverkusen, so they clearly can be got at.
Gers will need Morelos and Ryan Kent to continue the form they have shown in the previous two league victories to take something into the second leg.
In other Rangers news, the manager is allowing his star attacking pair tactical freedom to get the best out of them.
