Simon Jordan gobsmacked by Rangers and Celtic ticket row this season as change promised
Simon Jordan admitted that he was left “gobsmacked” at the ticketing row between Rangers and Celtic this season in Old Firm games.
Jim White relayed the news that away fans are now expected to return to derby games after they missed the opening two Old Firms of the season.
Jordan insisted that he was surprised that the authorities didn’t intervene at any stage of the Scottish Premiership season.

Speaking live on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan this morning, the co-host admitted that action should have been taken earlier.
“We also couldn’t believe that the authorities weren’t intervening given there is governance around the requirements for clubs to allocate away tickets to one another,” he said.
“I know that they have to make exemptions for certain circumstances, but I was gobsmacked that they hadn’t done it, so good, well done.”

Shocking.
This never really made any sense.
It started at the beginning of the season, with COVID-19 still playing a role as we returned to full stadiums up and down the United Kingdom.
Celtic then reiterated by withdrawing the away section in the Old Firm game recently, and it really took away from the occasion.
The SFA simply sat back and watch it happen, too, and it never really made any sense that all of this was allowed.
We already can’t wait for that next meeting at the start of April when Celtic make the short trip across to Ibrox.
They will be backed by travelling support, but the satisfaction of silencing them will be one that our boys can look forward to.
