Gio van Bronckhorst delivers positive injury update on Filip Helander
Rangers will face Hibernian in the Scottish Premier League clash on Wednesday night at Ibrox.
Ahead of the game, Giovanni van Bronkhorst has suggested that Gers defender Filip Helander is close to returning to full fitness, but the game may have come too soon for him.
The Bears returned to winning ways after beating Hearts 5-0 in their previous game against Hearts.

He said in the press conference ahead of the match (08 February): “Helander is really close to start getting minutes again. Hopefully, we can get him involved at the weekend.”
Momentum
The Sweden international has been out of action since September 11 when he picked up a knee injury in a 2-1 win over St Johnstone.
He was stretchered off during the game as he landed awkwardly on his knee. The defender required surgery to fix the problem.
The 28-year-old stepped up his rehabilitation in the past couple of months, and it seems he is now ready to return to action.
The club should be cautious with him, and it is highly likely that Van Bronckhorst will gradually integrate him to the side.

After a derby defeat against Celtic, Rangers returned strongly with a thumping victory in their last game.
Alfredo Morelos scored twice, and his timely return from the international matches has come as a huge boost.
With Celtic being in superb form as well, it’s important that Rangers keep winning their games and create the pressure.
It has taken time to pick up the gears after the winter break, but they should now look to build strong momentum.
