Kris Boyd claims Rangers title defence is reliant on Morelos
Rangers must rely on one man, Alfredo Morelos, in their bid for a successful title defence, according to Kris Boyd.
The striker has been away on international duty with Columbia, forcing him to miss three games where the Gers dropped four points.
The 25-year-old has been involved in 12 goals in 19 appearances in the league for the Gers, something they could use as they look to reclaim their position at the top of the league.

“I can’t believe I’m saying this given the criticism I’ve hit him with down the years, but the way things are right now, Rangers’ title defence is all down to one man,” Boyd said on the Scottish Sun website.
“Alfredo Morelos needs to get himself back to Scotland from Colombia and get firing again.
“The signs have been good this season and I hope for Rangers’ sake he returns in good shape and raring to go.”
Hit the ground running
Much like Boyd, every single Bears fan will be delighted to hear the news that Morelos returned to Scotland today.

His absence has had a gargantuan impact on Rangers with only one win in three games in his absence simply not good enough leaving Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side now one point behind their title rivals.
Understandably players have international requirements, but the Bears will feel hard done by with their striker not even playing a single minute whilst away with his country.
He would have rather stayed in Scotland to help the team towards back-to-back titles rather than wasting his time on the bench – especially after seeing how much they struggled without him.
Now back for action at Ibrox, hopefully Morelos can blow off the cobwebs from not playing for a couple of weeks and pick up where he left off, continuing his fine form as Rangers look to turn their form around.
