Gabby Agbonlahor and Ally McCoist baffled by Aaron Ramsey news ahead of Rangers v Celtic

Gabby Agbonlahor and Ally McCoist are baffled as Aaron Ramsey is set to miss Rangers v Celtic later today (February 2).

According to The Daily Record, the Wales international is unavailable for the Old Firm clash due to lack of match fitness.

He moved to Ibrox in a much-celebrated move to Rangers and many expected him to make his debut against their arch rivals.

Discussing this live on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said, “It doesn’t make sense to not have Ramsey in the squad. At least have him on the bench.”

McCoist seconded his views, stating, “I agree. He should be on the bench. It gives you a boost.”

Shame

What an introduction it would’ve been for Ramsey to make his debut against Celtic.

He’s had an illustrious career and played in games like these and it would’ve been a fantastic occasion for him.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst would know that the Welshman is kind of the player you can rely on right from the word go.

Had he been fit, there’s no denying that he wouldn’t have been involved in the contest.

However, fans will have to wait to see the 30-year-old in action and hopefully, it is worth their while.

With no Alfredo Morelos as well, someone is going to have to step up and grab the contest by the scruff of its neck.

Hopefully, they manage to turn around the momentum as they’ve been in a bit of a rut since football has returned after the winter break.

In other Rangers news, the club could have signed a ‘Combative’ centre mid whose father was an Ibrox icon.
