Fenerbahce offer £4.5m for Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos

Turkish club Fenerbahce have offered £4.5million for Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos according to Ahmet Konanc.

The Sansursuz Futbol journalist has claimed that Gers are ‘angry’ by the valuation of the Colombian.

They are believed to rate the player at £6.5million and will not sell him for a discounted price.

Via their official Twitter account, they quoted Konanc, “Fenerbahce is offering €5.5million for Morelos. Rangers are not transferring because they are angry at this figure. Rangers want at least €8million.”

Ridiculous

First things first, we’re not even sure that Morelos would want to move to Fenerbahce.

It doesn’t feel like they’re an upgrade on Rangers in the first place and there’s no emotional reason for him to move to Turkey.

To see them make such a lowball offer is ridiculous and we’re glad that the club are not budging with their valuation.

Morelos is one of the Ibrox club’s biggest assets and they will not do a deal unless it suits them perfectly.

Whether or not the Colombian wants to leave, remains to be seen, as the winner of the league will ensure direct qualification for the Champions League group stage.

That would certainly tempt most of the players to stay and Morelos could be the man spearheading Gers’ attack against Europe’s elite clubs.

The onus is on Giovanni van Bronckhorst to convince Morelos to stay in case he has doubts about his future.

In other Rangers news, the club could have signed a ‘Combative’ centre mid whose father was an Ibrox icon.
