Aaron Ramsey will be ‘one of the best players in Scotland’ after signing for Rangers – Joe Ledley
Aaron Ramsey will be ‘one of the best players in Scotland’ after completing a loan move to Rangers, according to former teammate Joe Ledley.
Ramsey completed a shock move to Ibrox on loan until the end of the season from Juventus, as he looks to get his career back on track.
He could make his debut against Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Wedensday, and Ledley believes that the 31-year-old is good enough to make an immediate impact on the team.

“I went onto my social media and there were people on there saying tell him not to go and I’m thinking: What is everyone on about?” he told Daily Record.
“Then I had a look for myself and saw that he was being linked with a move to Rangers. I worked with him at Cardiff during our time there and obviously the Wales team.
“He is top class and, in my opinion, he’s a little bit disrespected in the game.
“I cover a lot of the Wales games and, in the last two without Gareth Bale in the team, Aaron was just unbelievable.
“He hadn’t even been playing regular football at the time and he was still box-to-box. He scored in the matches and he was up and down the pitch. His workrate for the team, creating chances and he just never stops.”
“I’m sure Aaron may not have seen anything like Glasgow with Celtic and Rangers and how much the clubs mean to their fans. At Juventus, they are passionate and there is a lot of atmosphere, but Glasgow is even different from that.
“I’m sure he’ll be used to it and, as long as he has that freedom to play, he’ll be one of the best players in Scotland.”

Huge
The signing of Ramsey is a huge boost to Rangers, not only in the title race but also their profile across Europe.
Ramsey was considered one of the best midfielder on the continent when he left Arsenal for Juventus and while it didn’t work out for him in Turin, his ability has never been questioned.
He now has the chance to put that right with an extended spell in Glasgow, and if he can help the Bears to a second successive Scottish Premiership title then he will forever be remembered fondly at Ibrox.
His arrival will undoubtedly bolster Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad for the remainder of the season and if they can get him fully fit and firing once again, then he could very well be the difference in the title race.
The Old Firm should be water off a duck’s back to him too having played in Welsh derbies, north London derbies and huge Serie A games, so it’s all on him to deliver his best now and prove Ledley right.
