Aaron Ramsey’s agent in Glasgow to close loan move to Rangers – report

Aaron Ramsey’s agent is in Glasgow to seal a loan deal that would see the player join Rangers on deadline day, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

It was reported on Monday morning by Fabrizio Romano that Rangers were keen to bring the Welsh international to Ibrox in a last gasp deal.

Romeo Agresti has also reported that Ramsey has accepted an offer to join Rangers, while Franco Leonetti claims that a deal has been agreed between the clubs for a loan with a right to redeem.

Di Marzio has since updated his story, claiming that Ramsey’s agent is already in Glasgow to close the deal that would bring him to the Scottish Premiership.

Ramsey is said to have rejected an offer from Burnley as well as other Premier League clubs, before agreeing to move to Ibrox.

What a coup

The signing of Aaron Ramsey to Rangers is huge for the landscape of the title race this season and for the club as a whole.

Ramsey is a goalscoring midfielder who has a knack for scoring in big games, having previously netted in two FA Cup finals and scored at Euro 2016 and Euro 2020 for Wales.

Alongside Joe Aribo and Glen Kamara, Ramsey would be forming the absolute best midfield in Scottish football without a doubt.

It would be a chance for him to get his career back on track too after two-and-a-half years of stalling at Juventus, where he has never really made his mark.

He has made just two appearances this season and has fallen completely out of favour with Max Allegri, who admitted this month that he wouldn’t feature if he stayed at the club.
