Aaron Ramsey spotted at airport ahead of deadline day Rangers transfer
Aaron Ramsey has been spotted arriving at Glasgow Airport on a private jet ahead of signing for Rangers from Juventus.
Footage has been uploaded to Twitter by STV Sport which shows Ramsey, 31, getting off a plane and getting into a blacked-out 4×4.
Fabrizio Romano reported earlier on deadline day that Ramsey is joining the Light Blues on a loan-to-buy basis from Juve and will sign in a matter of hours.
Wow – it’s happening
We genuinely cannot believe this.
Rangers fans across Scotland and the UK would have gone to bed last night thinking that John Souttar might be the only addition at Ibrox on deadline day.
How wrong was that?
Instead, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson have pulled a rabbit out of the hat with three-time FA Cup winner Ramsey on his way to Rangers from Italian giants Juventus.
Sure, he hasn’t been amazing for Juventus. But we’re signing a player who’s proven himself over the years in the Premier League and for the Welsh nation team.
If he’s half as good as what he was at Arsenal in his prime, he will be the best player in Scottish football and Celtic will have absolutely no chance of beating us to the Premiership title this season.
Ramsey will add a lot of quality to our midfield, which is where we have looked vulnerable at times this season and lacked creativity going forward.
Ramsey, Joe Aribo and Glen Kamara in van Bronckhorst’s midfield. We cannot get over how good that sounds.
In other Rangers news, Jim White has shared the latest on Ramsey’s arrival.
