Rangers win race to sign Polish right-back Zukowski, deal will be done by deadline
Rangers have won the race to sign Lechia Gdansk right-back Mateusz Zukowski, according to The 4th Official.
The reliable Gers source reports on Patreon that the Scottish Premiership leaders “were not the only suitor” for the 20-year-old, whose deal at Gdansk expires at the end of the season.
It is understood that the Poland Under-21 international will be signed up by the Gers by midnight tomorrow night (31 January) when the Scottish transfer window closes.

The 4th Official were on the ball with Nathan Patterson’s move to Everton and Amad Diallo’s loan move from Manchester United. They have also collaborated with Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Patterson replacement
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has done what he can do this month.
He’s offloaded Nathan Patterson, understandably, for a massive fee from Everton and has also got rid of players who weren’t contributing like Jermain Defoe and Juninho Bacuna.
He’s brought in James Sands on loan from New York City. He hasn’t impressed so far but it’s early days for the USA midfielder.

Cedric Itten has been awful since returning from his loan in Germany but Amad Diallo has hit the ground running with a goal just five minutes into his debut at Ross County yesterday.
Zukowski will be one for the future but also one to play whenever James Tavernier is unavailable, which is what we needed after Patterson left for Goodison Park.
It remains to be seen how good Zukowski is.
The 20-year-old has 50 senior appearances to his name at Lechia Gdansk, who play in the Polish top-flight.
He’s played 20 times this term for the Baltic club, scoring twice which suggests that he’s an attack-minded right-back.
We’ll be happy with this signing to have a promising, young player come in and we hope that financially, it all makes sense too.
In other Rangers news, Michael Stewart was drooling over this “wonderful” Gers player this week.
