Fabrizio Romano sends message to Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo after Rangers debut goal

Amad Diallo was delighted to mark his Rangers debut with a goal on Saturday despite his new side drawing 3-3 at Ross County.

Diallo, 19, joined the Gers on loan from Manchester United earlier this week and was thrown straight into Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s starting line-up at Dingwall.

After just five minutes, the Man United loanee scored and on Instagram after the game, he said he was “happy” with his debut and predicts a “great game” on Wednesday when the Light Blues take on Celtic.

Diallo’s post attracted messages from some big names with Jesse Lingard telling him to “enjoy” his loan spell at Ibrox.

Interestingly, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano sent him a message too, saying “flying” before adding a rocket emoji.

Stunning debut

We were really excited about Diallo before he made his debut.

And now, after scoring within minutes against Ross County on Saturday, we’re really cannot wait to see how he can do at Ibrox.

Rangers really needed to sign a new right-winger before this transfer window opened and Diallo looks as though he’s someone who can really offer us something special in that area.

Yes, his goal was just a tap-in but he was showed the willingness to get into the box and make a mark within minutes of pulling on the jersey.

Celtic are up next and we guess that Diallo will be in the starting line-up again because we definitely need him on that right-wing.

He has the chance to make himself an overnight Ibrox hero if he performs well in Glasgow’s East End on Wednesday.

There’ll be a lot of pressure on him but he’s spent a year at Manchester United so he knows all about high expectations and having to take your chances when you get them.

In other Rangers news, the Gers are set to wrap up a free signing before the January window closes.
