Richard Foster makes prediction on Rangers January transfers
BBC Scotland pundit Richard Foster believes Rangers teenager Alex Lowry has made a statement that signings are not needed with his performance last night.
The former Light Blues defender thinks the club will still be on the look out to strengthen but the necessity for incomings has been reduced by the young sensation.
The 18-year-old put in another excellent performance in the victory over Livingston at Ibrox on his first start.

An attritional 1-0 win was eventually secured via a late Scott Arfield strike, but Lowry replaced the injured Ianis Hagi ably.
Speaking on BBC Sportscene on Wednesday night (January 26) the pundit responded to a question about potential Gers signings, saying: “They’re always going to look to strengthen. I think the emergence of Lowry in the team certainly helps out.”
He believes Lowry has made a point to Giovanni van Bronckhorst and said: “He’s probably saying, ‘Look you don’t need to go and get anybody else’”.
Eases the pressure
When Romanian Hagi was ruled out for the rest of the season following injury against Stirling Albion on Friday concerns were raised about the league-leaders prospects for the rest of the season.
The club has long been linked to Bologna winger Andreas Skov Olsen who plays in a similar position, and speculation arose that the Dane would be needed to fill the gap (Daily Record).
But with the Serie A man looking difficult to acquire, it looks like the struggle is not necessary as Lowry is showing he can be a far cheaper option.

The side look blunt in attack with Alfredo Morelos missing on international duty, and Cedric Itten struggled in his place against Livi, so unless the Swiss can find some form or Kemar Roofe can pick up the slack, a striker may make sense to add.
But with the new teenage star looking ready-made, Fashion Sakala shining, and even some flashes from Scott Wright, Gers look well stocked in the positions just behind the front man, especially with Joe Aribo imminently returning.
