Rangers are set to sign Manchester United attacking midfielder Amad Diallo on loan till the end of the season, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Ivory Coast-born winger will move to Ibrox in the coming days after the Red Devils approved of the deal.

Romano said on his personal Twitter account: “Amad Diallo’s set to join Rangers on straight loan from Manchester United.

“Agreement reached on six month loan and there’s no buy option included.

“Ralf Rangnick approved this move, to be completed and signed in the next hours.

“Here we go soon.”

Huge deal

Giovanni van Bronckhorst wants a replacement for Ianis Hagi after the Romanian winger got ruled out of the campaign due to injury.

Rangers will be getting a perfect replacement in the highly-rated and talented Diallo, and his addition will surely help boost their chances of retaining the Premiership title.

The 19-year-old joined the Premier League giants from Atalanta in a £37million deal in January 2021, but he has not been able to feature regularly due to stiff competition, with just 68 minutes of first-team football under his belt in 2021-22.

Rangers have always cried out for a right-sided winger, and they are set to land one on a temporary basis in a massive boost.
