Rangers have not approached SPFL over postponing Celtic clash
Rangers have not asked the SPFL to postpone their Old Firm clash against Celtic on February 2, according to the Daily Record.
Both sets of clubs will have a number of players missing due to international duty, but Gers are believed to be uninterested in having the fixture rescheduled again.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has stated that they’re not keen on postponing the game and it’s believed that the club have not taken any steps towards doing that as well.

Play on
While Rangers would have loved to have their best players available, they can surely get the job done without them.
Much like them, even Celtic will not be having some of their players in contention for this fixture.
That would certainly level the playing field in some ways and would give Gers a chance to extend their lead at the top of the SPFL table.
They came back from the winter break and were lethargic in their 1-1 draw against Aberdeen.

Performances like that against Celtic could be devastating and GvB would certainly be aware of the challenges that they pose.
Hopefully, he works twice as hard with them on the training field to get their minds and bodies prepared for the game.
A victory there almost assures them of going on to seal the title while a loss could blow open the title race right until the final weeks of the same.
There is all to play for in this game and Rangers have to do all they can to win.
