Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic ruled out of Old Firm clash v Rangers
Celtic will be without Tom Rogic when they take on Rangers in the Old Firm on 2 February, according to Go Radio Football Show journalist Jo Hendry.
Writing via her personal Twitter account on Friday morning [21 January], Hendry reported that Rogic, 29, will miss fixtures against Hearts, Dundee United and Scottish Premiership leaders Rangers after being called up to the Australia national team.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be without Alfredo Morelos for the game after he was included in Colombia’s squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Big boost for Gers
Rogic is someone who’s been on the fringes of the Celtic starting line-up over recent years but Ange Postecoglou has shown a lot of loyalty to his fellow Australian.
The attacking midfielder has played 30 times in all competitions this season for Celtic, scoring three goals and supplying nine assists.
He’s been in good form lately too, scoring twice and assisting four goals in his last six Scottish Premiership outings.

For Postecoglou to be without one of his main players, who’s also in decent form, is definitely a big boost for Rangers.
However, there’s a chance that our squad will be hit by the upcoming international fixtures across the world too.
Joe Aribo may still be with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations while James Sands and Kemar Roofe could be called up for the USA and Jamaica respectively.
We’ll see what happens but there may be issues across both teams.
In other Rangers news, the Gers could request to postpone the match.
