David Edgar fumes at Kevin Clancy after Aberdeen 1-1 Rangers
David Edgar has strongly criticised referee Kevin Clancy for his overall display during the clash between Aberdeen v Rangers after the winter break on Tuesday (18 January).
The Bears were held to a 1-1 draw at Pittodrie, and there were several instances that irked the visiting team.
Ryan Kent was sent off during the game, and writing on the Heart and Hand Podcast’s official Twitter account, the club’s official media partner was clearly not pleased with Clancy’s effort.

Edgar wrote (19 January): “In Clancy’s refereeing career he’s sent off four Rangers players to one Celtic player. I’m sure it’s just coincidental.”
He also posted another tweet yesterday (18 January) where he described Clancy’s performance as “absolutely disgusting.”
Edgar added: “Absolutely disgusting from Clancy topping off a ridiculous display.”
Poor
Rangers took the lead through Ianis Hagi in the first half. The home side hit back with a Lewis Ferguson spot-kick, and it ended Rangers’ nine-match league winning run.
However, Kent was harshly sent off during the game.
The Rangers winger was shown a second yellow for a challenge on Scott Brown, who clapped the player off the pitch sarcastically.

There were some contentious decisions from the game, but the Gers fans have every right to get angry at the red-card decision.
Edgar has tried to make a point that Clancy has shown more red-card to Rangers players in his career, compared to Celtic players. While it can definitely be a coincidence, the performance of Clancy suggests he clearly didn’t have the best of time on the pitch.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst still remains unbeaten since taking charge and the champions now must respond strongly in their next game.
The Gers are now four points ahead of Celtic in the league table.
In other Rangers news, this former player is blown away by his ex-teammates’ gestures.
