Bologna ready to sell Rangers-linked player to fund signings

Rangers have been handed a much-needed boost in their pursuit of Bologna winger Andreas Skov Olsen as the Serie A side a ready to sell, according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The 22-year-old has been put to the top of Rossoblu’s exit list as they hope to raise funds for incoming in this January transfer window.

Tutto Mercato Web state that there are several European clubs interested in the Danish international with Club Brugge and Rangers the two in the lead of the race.

Rangers

It is believed that Bologna want to sell Skov Olsen to fund a move for Aberdeen fullback Calvin Ramsey who could be a replacement for fellow Scot Aaron Hickey who is rumoured to also leave the club this month.

Time to strike

The tip-toeing has stopped and now Rangers need to act and act fast if they want Skov Olsen to play at Ibrox next season.

And you can’t see why they wouldn’t want a player of his quality, having scored six times in his 14 international appearances for Denmark.

He hasn’t been as prolific for Bologna but his record at FC Nordsjaelland, the club he started his career at, was highly impressive.

If Giovanni van Bronckhorst could get him back to the level he was at in Denmark, where he scored 22 goals in 41 games, then he should be one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership from the outset.

He would fill a void on the Rangers right that is yet to see anyone nail down a starting spot, unlike the left where Ryan Kent has made the position his own.
