View: Rangers should make crazy bid to bring John Souttar to Ibrox in January
Rangers have already agreed a pre-contract deal to sign John Souttar, the Ibrox club confirmed yesterday (14 January).
The Hearts defender will join in the summer transfer window as a free agent, but Rangers are contemplating whether to sign him this month.
The Scottish Sun have claimed that any potential move for him in January may have to wait till the end of the month.

Hearts are unwilling to sell their player right now and it would take a “crazy bid” to lure him away from the club.
Rangers should take the bait.
There’s money available, although the Gers were struggling financially.
The sale of Nathan Patterson to Everton for a club-record transfer fee should be used properly.
The money is burning a hole in the pocket and Rangers can surely afford to meet the asking price for Souttar to bring him to Ibrox in January.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst needs players now. After the winter break, the Gers will be focusing on winning the Scottish Premiership for the second time in a row, and a quality defender would help them a lot.
James Sands is a smart addition, but Souttar knows the league. He would be a seamless integration to the side, and will make Rangers even stronger.
Also, by the time Conor Goldson potentially leaves the club, Souttar would have already settled down at Ibrox.
Obviously, paying money for a player who could be a free agent in a few months’ time adds a dilemma. In this case, a move in January makes a lot of sense.
In other Rangers news, a report has shared which players GvB will allow to leave Ibrox this month.
