Rangers ace Sakala makes hair cut promise to Gers fans

Rangers fan favourite Fashion Sakala has made an unusual promise to supporters concerning his aspirations for 2022… and his hair.

The 24-year-old posted on his personal Instagram a picture of him in his Rangers training gear stating he wouldn’t cut his hair until he scores in 2022.

And there’s a good chance that he will come good on his promise having already scored five goals for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side this season.

Quietly Important

The Zambian is currently training with the club after his national side failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations that teammate Joe Aribo is playing at for Nigeria.

This time has allowed van Bronckhorst to refine Sakala’s game and he could start the second portion of the Scottish Premiership season as a key player for Rangers.

His versatility in the front line is something the can be extremely useful to his manager and you can hardly be disappointed at his goal-scoring record.

Rangers

He was very prolific for Oostende in Belgium before he came to Scotland and he has continued that since.

The 24-year-old hasn’t been helped by the form of Alfredo Morelos who starts ahead of Sakala when available and other attackers Ryan Kent and Scott Wright starting ahead of him before the winter break.

But if Sakala keeps progressing as well as he has done so far, van Bronckhorst won’t be able to leave him on the bench much longer.
