Heart and Hand react as Cedric Itten set for Rangers return
David Edgar has shared his reaction after Rangers have decided to recall striker Cedric Itten from his loan spell at German club Greuther Furth.
The 25-year-old moved to the German club on loan on the transfer deadline day, but Rangers are exercising their option to cut the deal short, according to reports from Sky Sports.
Writing on the Heart & Hand Podcast’s official Twitter account on Wednesday, the club’s official media partner said he’s glad to see the striker back at Ibrox.

Edgar said on Twitter: “Sad to see Defoe go but glad Itten is back. Key thing for me is that it’s GVB triggering the release clause – clearly wants to have a look at him in squad and feels he can make a contribution.”
Smart decision
It’s a brilliant move from Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Jermaine Defoe is set to leave the club after making just two appearances this season.
The 39-year-old scored 32 goals in 76 matches for Rangers and helped the Gers win the Scottish Premiership title last season.
The Dutchman has made the right call to recall the “exciting” striker back at Ibrox, where he is likely to play behind Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe.

It suggests that Van Bronckhorst wants to have a look at him and he probably feels the striker can make a strong contribution.
Itten enjoyed his best football for St Gallen and if he can replicate the form for Rangers, it would solve a lot of problems.
The Swiss international scored on his international debut against Georgia, and he’s someone who can be a perfect target man.
He would bring something different to the table from what Rangers have at the moment, and it’s a smart decision made by the Bears boss.
In other Rangers news, an ‘incredible’ defender has made his decision to join the Gers in January.
