Former Dundee United ace Sean Dillon backs John Souttar to thrive at Rangers
Hearts defender John Souttar is backed to be a success at Rangers by his former teammate Sean Dillon.
The ex Dundee United player was impressed by Souttar back when he was a teenager and believes that he has only improved over time.
The Scottish Sun claim that Gers are confident of beating off the competition to complete the 25-year-old’s signing this month and Dillon believes he’s bound to achieve great things.

Dillon, an SPFL pundit, told them, “I’d say he’s capable of comfortably playing at any level and mentally, he could handle a club like Rangers.
“I always remember that semi against Celtic when he played at 16. He was just a kid — but he took it all in his stride.
“John is a relaxed player but that is a good thing, believe me. His temperament is exceptional.”
Snap him up
The 25-year-old has plenty of SPFL experience under his belt and seems ready to take the step up.
He has proven on countless occasions that he’s unfazed by the pressure of playing in big games.

Connor Goldson appears destined to leave the club, either in January or at the end of the season.
It does make sense for Rangers to think long term and Souttar is the perfect one for that.
He’s not even in his prime yet and could take his game up a few levels under Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s tutelage.
Whether or not the club manage to sign him this month remains to be seen.
In other Rangers news, a ‘Fantastic’ Gers player may have played his final game for the club and his Ibrox exit seems set in stone
