Rangers target John Souttar to hold contract talks in England – report
John Souttar is to meet in England with several interested parties about a potential transfer, with Rangers already registering their interest in the player according to Edinburgh News.
The Hearts defender has entered the final six months of his contract with the club and is looking to leave the club either this month or in the summer.
He has been linked with a host of clubs, and it’s believed that Rangers have already taken steps towards securing his signature by ‘making their move’ for him [Glasgow Times].

However according to a report by Edinburgh News, the 25-year-old is due in England this week to hold talks with several of the interested clubs as he prefers a move south of the border.
Clubs such as Stoke, Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and Blackburn have registered their interest him and he will hold talks with all interested parties before making a decision.
Money talks
It seems as though Souttar has already made the decision to leave Hearts and it now looks likely that the best offer is the one that will get the deal done.
With so many interested clubs, the central defender isn’t short of options and many of them offer similar things.

The Championship clubs showing interest are all in-and-around the top end of the table, looking for promotion and that will be appealing to the four-cap defender as it means Premier League football is a real possibility.
On the other hand, he could remain in Scotland with Rangers where he can play European football regularly and challenge for the title every season.
A ‘fantastic‘ defender who has been told that he could improve both of the Old Firm sides, Souttar has got plenty of thinking to do.
