Danilho Doekhi opens up on potential Rangers transfer move
Danilho Doekhi has said that he is “flattered” with links to Rangers.
According to reports from The Athletic, the Gers have kept tabs on his situation and could make their move this month.
The Scottish champions are said to be in a strong position to secure a pre-contract deal for the Vitesse Arnhem captain.

Speaking to Dutch media outlet De Gelderlander, Doekhi said: “That’s just how football works. A winter transfer is not ideal. You get in somewhere halfway. But if an opportunity comes up, I shouldn’t let it go.
“Of course, I get the stories of Napoli and Rangers. I am flattered. Scotland is passion. In Italy, you really learn how to defend yourself. Both are beautiful.”
January move
The Vitesse Arnhem defender would be a very good signing for the Gers.
He has a contract at the Dutch club till the end of the season, but the defender has made it clear that he won’t rule out a move in January.
In that case, Rangers must move quickly and secure his signature at the earliest as he ticks several boxes for Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The ball-playing defender has come through the youth ranks at Ajax, and he has got lots of potentials to be a quality defender.

With Conor Goldson’s future still unresolved, and Napoli still in the race to sign Deokhi, Rangers must look to bring him to Ibrox now.
The Bears have money burning a hole in their pocket after selling Nathan Patterson to Everton on a club-record transfer deal, and they should be able to sign Deokhi this month on a cut-price deal.
Rangers have already secured their first signing of January after landing James Sands on Wednesday.
In other Rangers news, a report has shared which players GvB will allow to leave Ibrox this month.
