Rangers plan to offer new deal to Ianis – Gheorghe Hagi
Rangers are looking to offer Ianis Hagi a new contract, according to his father Gheorghe Hagi.
The Rangers forward has been linked with a move away from Ibrox with clubs like Roma, Galatasaray, Lyon and Sevilla reportedly keen to sign him.
The Gers playmaker has been one of the key players for the club since the arrival of Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

“He looks good, he’s motivated. By the way, that’s what I heard and I think it’s from a reliable source, that they want to renew the contract,” said Hagi Sr, as quoted by The Daily Record.
“Not as it is written in the press here. He played very well. He had an extraordinary year, very good, he is appreciated there and from good sources I think they want to renew the contract.”
Huge boost
If true, this is a massive boost for Rangers.
Having already lost Nathan Patterson to Everton, Van Bronckhorst will want his key players to stay at the club and help him retain the Scottish Premier League title.
Hagi has been brilliant this season, and it’s encouraging to see that Gers are planning to offer him a new deal.
The 23-year-old did well under Steven Gerrard last season, but it seems he has impressed the Dutchman heavily.
He has started in six of seven games before the winter break, and made a strong impact.

Having said that, Hagi will be looking to improve his productivity which has slowed down since his position switch under GvB.
Rangers are top of the Scottish Premiership table with six points ahead of Celtic.
Hagi staying and signing a new deal would be big news for the fans in the New year.
In other Rangers news, David Edgar says the Gers will sign a “promising” replacement for Patterson.
