Rangers defender Connor Goldson increasingly likely to not pen extension
Rangers defender Connor Goldson is ‘increasingly likely’ to not sign a new deal and leave the club, according to a report by The Daily Record.
He is in his final six months at the club and the chances of him not penning an extension are extremely high.
Rather than losing him on a free, Gers are understood to be willing to cash in on his services in January.

The report reads, “The spectre of Connor Goldson’s departure is looming large over Ibrox, with the rock of the Rangers defence out of contract in the summer.
“It appears increasingly likely he will not sign new terms, meaning the club could look to cash in this month.”
Sell him
If the Englishman is unwilling to sign a new deal, it is clear that his heart is not at the club.
Rather than having him play for another six months with him not particularly keen on the club’s success, it’s better to let go of him.
At 28, he’s arguably in his prime and could fetch a decent transfer fee for a player in the final few months of his contract.

Rangers could then look to use that money to sign someone younger who would be at the club for a long time.
There have been links with free agent Mateo Musacchio who is a former AC Milan defender and has also been capped for Argentina in the past.
He would certainly organise this defence well and prove to be a good stopgap option.
In other Rangers news, the club are set to announce a major signing this week with a big development on the cards in the next 48 hours
