Ally McCoist reacts as Patterson joins Everton from Rangers
Nathan Patterson has left Rangers for Everton, switching Ibrox for Goodison Park on Tuesday (4 January) having been with the Premiership since his schoolboy days.
The Scotland international right-back, 20, took to his personal Instagram account yesterday to send a message to Toffees fans after his move, and Ally McCoist has wished him the best of luck.
The Rangers legend took to the comments section to reply, saying: “Best of luck, pal. You’ll do great.”

Definitely
Patterson could not force his way into the Bears starting XI under both Steven Gerrard and Giovanni van Bronckhorst and will hope to now do so at Everton.
Rafa Benitez was keen on signing him last summer, but Rangers knocked back both of their bids.
He was identified as the long-term successor to Seamus Coleman, and all eyes will be on him going forward.
Patterson joined the Blues for around £11.5million plus add-ons – which is a record fee received by Rangers – and could see his value skyrocket in the coming years.
He has been tipped to hit the ground running at Goodison Park, and that should not be surprising having shown the signs of his huge potential at Ibrox.

Everton want to be become a top-seven side going forward, and recruiting such a quality player will come in handy.
It is a bargain deal for them, and Benitez will hope to complete more deals before the end of the January transfer window after signing Vitaliy Mykolenko on New Year’s Day.
Rangers will now hope to bring in a replacement that can provide quality cover and competition for skipper James Tavernier.
In other Rangers news, a report has shared which players GvB will allow to leave Ibrox this month.
